India COVID-19 travel restrictions

Entry is open

India is open for leisure travel from all countries, while flights are still limited. Domestic restrictions change regularly and may vary between regions.

Due to the Covid-19 Omicron variant, arrivals from high-risk countries such as Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Europe, Israel, Mauritius, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, and Zimbabwe, must undergo additional on-arrival testing, as well as quarantine.

Prior to arrival restrictions

• Valid passport. Valid national passport with at least 6 month remaining validity after the date of departure.
• Valid visa. Please see the instructions above if visa is needed and apply.
• Negative COVID-19 test is required, the test must be taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test must be uploaded in India’s Air Suvidha portal.
• Health form is required to travelers 72 hours before arrival. The form can be found in our site.

Upon arrival requirements

• Quarantine: Anyone arriving to India from countries not considered at risk, will be required to self-monitor for 14 days after arrival. While arrivals from at-risk countries will be required to self-quarantine for 7 days.
• Masks are required in public spaces and transport.
